one thing, as I look through all the photos again in 12+ years: it seems that “performance” shots were not to be as interesting as the in-between songs moments. I think they are still a form of performance moments: there is the concentration related to the next song, and perhaps a time to catch a perspective and/or that everything is right. it was not until years later that I came to chase this moment in what I came to call The Decompression Moment. this clicked on a photo of Garçe Allard during a gig In Berlin by Sad Lovers and Giants.
