it became apparent at this gig, which was excellent, that Bill Callahan would have a very high frequency of changing backup musicians. like the previous two, the drummers were of superb quality to really enhance the songs vibrancy from the albums. this was not the first gig in Paris, as in 2005 there was And Also The Trees at a red boat, though it highlighted how great the venues are in Paris for this level of following. perhaps, well maybe most definitely, Paris has the best set of venues for concerts of indie acts as they progress in popularity. the audiences are also superb.
