ha! not to dissimilar in composition to the photo from Wire [ here ], and it is not surprising already. perhaps many more to come: work on the elements on stage, as an easy way to focus the lens, and then add parts of the musician— in this case, drummer extraordinaire John McEntire (notably, also from Tortoise). this marked the gig with the last use of a cropped sensor, and fighting low-light conditions (and associated noise). not that the habits created from such challenges would disappear with an improved lower-noise and shallower depth of field of a full 35mm sensor.
