Rank/Xerox is one of the groups with David West in it. by sheer coincidence, a year prior to this concert or so, he worked at a corner shop from where I lived in San Francisco, and he noted that I was the only one to come in with band t-shirts, and this got us to talk about music and photography. the friendship flourished, and consequently, I tried to attend every concert that I could from his many projects. not sure if I caught him again with Rank/Xerox, but certainly a few times as Rat Columns, and when he did work with other groups and his solo works. currently, his work can be found on the UK label Tough Love Records.
